Qualifications
We’ll teach you much of what you need to know, but you need to have an enthusiasm for medicine, excellent computer skills, an eagerness to learn, and an ability to work in a team environment. We are looking for highly motivated university students who have demonstrated success in the classroom and have an interest in a career in medicine. We will provide you with training on medical terminology, CMS documentation guidelines, and the electronic medical records system used by the ER. Since we invest in your training and education, we require that you make a minimum commitment of one year to a scribe program. You need to live in relatively close proximity to the emergency room and have the ability to balance schoolwork with your scribe commitment.
